GIFTED Dental Implant Year Course

Q. What method of payment is available?

A. We accept three methods of payment.

Q. How long does the postgraduate dental course run for?

A. The postgraduate dental course runs for 9 to 12 months depending on which dental training centre is selected.

Q. Is the postgraduate dental course fee Tax deductable?

A. No the postgraduate dental course fee is not Tax deductable.

Q. Do I have to start on a specific day or can I join the dental course on any point?

A. The dental course is a rolling programme and can be joined and completed from any point in the cycle.

Q. Can I attend different postgraduate dental training centres?

A. You can attend a different postgraduate dental training centre if you are unable to attend a lecture on a given date. However we must ask you to try to complete your postgraduate dental course at your first choice of dental training centre and normally no more than two changes will be permitted in the programme cycle.

Q. Does the postgraduate dental course provide patients?

A. The treatment of patients on the GIFTED dental implant year course in not mandatory and the postgraduate dental course does not provide patients. You may treat patients under supervision on the postgraduate dental course but you must provide patients from your own practice patient list.

Q. Will I be allowed to place dental implants while attending the postgraduate dental course and will it provide me with enough experience to place dental implants in my own dental practice?

A. Although the postgraduate dental course provides the 10 keystone elements to Implant Dentistry we advise you to consider carrying out a minimum of 3 supervised cases to allow your Tutor to assess your competency in placing standard cases. The General Dentists Council require that all postgraduate dentists placing dental implants must be able to show they are competent and have appropriate training.

Q. What systems are available and can I decide which system I want to use?

A. Most of the dental centres are multi system. Representatives from different companies attend to let you see their systems and you can then decide which system would be best suited to your own needs and finances.

Q. If I am unable to complete the postgraduate dental course is the remaining fee refundable?

A. Cancellations received in writing one month before the start of your dental course will be refunded after deduction of 100 UK pounds administration fee. Within one month 50% will be refunded. No refund will be made after registration or acceptance on to the dental course.
