Jacqueline Fergus and George Glover

Jacqui and George graduated in 1993 from Edinburgh and Glasgow Universities respectively. They formed a partnership in 1995 and purchased a city centre dental practice on Aberdeen’s premier street. Their dedication has seen that dental practice expand rapidly over the years to become the largest general and implant dental practice in Aberdeen. Twice a regional finalist in the Denplan Practice of the Year Award, the dental practice is Denplan Excel and Investors In People recognised and includes four associate dentists and three hygienists in a fantastic team which numbers 27.

Together Jacqui and George have mentored six vocational dental trainees over a five year period before finally withdrawing from vocational training when the dental practice changed its focus to private dentistry. They have served as committee members of the LDC, BDA Young Dentist Committee, and Local Disciplinary committee. George served as the associate vocational training advisor for the North East of Scotland Vocational Training Scheme during the introduction of appraisal for vocational dentists in Scotland.

International Postgraduate Dental Implant Courses
At the end of 2005 the dental practice relocated to Leigh House, an architecturally impressive grade B listed granite building on Aberdeen’s Union Street. Occupying four floors and extending to over 6,000 square feet, the visually stunning facilities at Leigh House include bright, modern, air-conditioned dental surgeries with the latest equipment (including digital radiography and photographic imaging), comfortable waiting facilities and the latest in audio-visual patient entertainment.

A dedicated training room is located on the third floor for ongoing staff development, and these excellent facilities are used for the GIFT Implant year course held on Saturdays throughout the year.

In addition to a strong interest in implant dentistry and the initial and continuing education of implant practitioners, Jacqui and George have a passion for cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. Jacqui is a committee member of the International Academy of Advanced Facial Aesthetics.
