The Continuum is on-going training comprising of two components, theoretical and clinical. The theoretical component of the programme consists of ten taught days spread over a year. Each day is based on a specific themes or continua that underpin the principles fundamental to the safe practice of implant dentistry. Through lectures, group work, discussions and hands on experience, dental students are introduced to the concept of osseointegration and given an overview of dental surgical and restorative techniques. At dental treatment planning sessions delegates present their own cases for evaluation and discussion. In clinical sessions dental students develop their restorative and surgical skills during the treatment of actual dental implant cases. Throughout the dental course participants will be required to provide study models and radiographs of potential dental implant patients for group discussion. These will be used during diagnosis seminars designed to formulate and evaluate possible dental treatment plans. Click here to download your course programme |

On-going LearningGIFT has been established by dental practitioners from general practice who have appreciated the every day difficulties involved in trying to attend long term training programmes. This is why the programme has been designed as a continuum that affords the flexibility to catch up or even defer certain course elements until a later date. As the themes do not have to be taken in any particular order it means that if a theme is missed it can be either taken at another dental centre or caught several months later during the cycle.![]() To find out more information click here |
